Waterlase® MD Laser
Dr. Edward Alvarez uses Waterlase® MD laser technology, which employs the use of laser energy and a gentle spray of water to perform a wide range of dental procedures -- without the use of heat, vibration and pressure associated with dental drills. With many procedures, it's possible to use less anesthetic and often times no anesthetic at all.
The Waterlase® MD laser is more precise in the removal of tooth structure and is gentler on your teeth - saving more healthy tooth structure that would otherwise be lost. The laser sterilizes the treatment area and leaves behind a surface with increased bonding strength for restorations. Using the laser also decreases the amount of inflammation typically associated with surgical procedures.
